A very cute and silly graphic novel for young readers. This is a great book for introducing young readers to the graphic novel format. The pictures also make it more fun and less intimidating for kids reading on their own. Plus, the illustrations are adorable. Narwhal’s characters is instantly lovable. With an affinity for waffles and the insatiable desire to help and inspire others, Narwhal is basically the Leslie Knope of the sea. The book is broken down into manageable chapters that have their own storyline, but also fit into the overall arch of the larger story of Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt. This is the first Narwhal and Jelly book I have read (because I could not find the first book in the library), but I still enjoyed it. A good graphic novel for children (that their parents can enjoy too).
