I found this super cute cat chalkboard in the Halloween clearance section (for 50 cents!) and I just had to get it. Upon arriving home, I realized that the board came with chalk, but nowhere to put the said chalk and no eraser.
But like the crafty crafter that I am, I devised a solution. Luckily, we had just run out of cayenne pepper.

For this craft you can either have the accessories open and out on the table or close them for easy maneuverability. The choice is yours! Embrace your crafty power!
1. Measure some scrap fabric to slightly larger than the circumference of the lid.
2. Stuff with scrap material/foam/stuffing if you’re real fancy/whatever you’ve got laying around.
3. Hot glue the ends together. NOTE: In this case, size does matter. If you want to be able to screw the eraser back onto the jar, make it small enough so the edges are clear. I wanted mine to be big and fluffy so I made it so it extends all the way to the edge (and will not fit back onto the jar). Life is about making mistakes, I need a big eraser to help correct them.
5. Hot glue the poof to the inside of the lid.
Now the easiest part: the chalk holder.
1. Remove the label on the jar you want to use and scrub off the excess goo. If you are choosing the open option, fill the jar a little more than halfway with whatever filler you want. This way the chalk sticks out and is easier to grab. For the closed option, you can just leave it empty if you want your chalk to be all the way inside the jar or use just a little filler so the chalk still fits.
