I loved this book. It was such a pleasure to read. Despite my love of celebrity memoirs, I usually don’t know much about an actress until I read their book. This was true for this one as well. I loved Graham in Parenthood and of course in Gilmore Girls, but other than that, I didn’t really know anything about her. This book gave an entertaining glimpse into her life, her thoughts, and her experiences. This is a nice well-rounded book, in my opinion. It isn’t solely about Gilmore Girls or the Netflix reboot. It includes other experiences such as her time judging on Project Runway and writing (and being asked about) her novel, as well as her interesting theory about representations of older people in the media and her critique of health trends. I thought this worked well and provided a great reading experience. Hilarious, insightful, and entertaining. An interesting look into her personal life and experiences working in Hollywood. The book also includes pictures throughout, which were a fun touch. Graham is a wonderful writer who can really pull you in to whatever she is talking about. I had no idea she wrote a novel, but I am already adding it to my TBR pile. Goodreads |
