A sweet bedtime story with a bit of adventure. This is the first Ten Minutes to Bed story that I’ve read. I loved the map of the The Land of Nod on the endpapers (daytime and nighttime versions), which shows places and characters introduced in the other books.
It’s nearly time for bed, but Flicker and Flash want to get in one last race before they settle in for the night. When they find a lost dragon egg, it’s a race to reunite the egg with its mother and get home in time for bed.
The illustrations are adorable. I loved the glimpses into the fantasy world in each spread as the dragons fly across The Land of Nod.
A very cute story with imaginative artwork and a sweet emphasis on helping others and doing the right thing.
