This series always knows just how to pull me in.
Reunited with Teacher after the devastating events in the village, Shiva easily returns to her life on the Outside. But her aunt hasn’t found the transition quite as simple and acts on her mistrust of Teacher. In this volume, we learn Shiva’s origin story and more details about the effects of the curse.
Great balance of wholesome slice-of-life content and progression of the overall plot that keeps the reader engaged. I loved getting a little break from the darkness to watch them make a pie together.
As always, the art is wonderful, eerie, and haunting.
Wholesome and adorable. Dark and mysterious. This is such a cool series. Looking forward to the next volume.
