A wonderful celebration of Judit Polgár that covers her journey to become the youngest grandmaster at the time. Well-told. The story focuses on the first 15 years of Polgár’s life. Wallmark nicely captures the tension of chess matches and the excitement of victory. Provides a nice portrayal of Polgár’s love of chess while also showing a few other aspects of her life. Lovely artwork.
At the back of the book is a bit more about Polgár including a timeline of life events as well as some information about chess.
A great read for establishing an interest in chess or sharing a love of chess.
