| This is one of those books I’ve been meaning to read for a while. When I finally got a copy it sat on my shelf for months and months and months. Yesterday, I was looking for a quick read and picked this one off the shelf. Fantastic. This is such an amazingly well-told book. While I didn’t necessarily like everything that happened in the book, it was a powerful story that brought up a lot of great topics. I can see this one being very popular to read in a classroom setting. There are a lot of interesting things to discuss and elaborate on. While the writing is simple, the story and characters really pull the reader in. Great for young readers. At the end of the book is a discussion guide with questions that would be interesting to discuss in a classroom setting, with parents, or even with siblings.
