A stunning picture book that celebrates heritage, identity, and stories. Follow a young boy as he travels through his mother’s bedtime story to visit his grandmothers and learn their truths about dragons. A wonderful blend of Eastern and Western mythologies and a beautiful emphasis on the validity of both versions.
The artwork is breathtaking. Presented with Jan Brett-esque borders, the illustrations are in turns spooky, cozy, magical, and mystical. Absolutely beautiful.
The story itself is lyrical and heartwarming.
A sweet bedtime story that encourages embracing all parts of your cultural identity and where those parts meet within you.
