Definitely grabbed this one for its gorgeous cover. I didn’t initially realize it was based on a light novel that was made into an anime. Even without background though, I thoroughly enjoyed this manga.

When Kaoru overhears a legend about a tunnel that can give you what you desire most, he doesn’t think much of it at first. But when he stumbles across the rumored tunnel, he finds there’s more to it than meets the eye. Time works differently inside. Kaoru teams up with an unlikely accomplice to learn more about the mysterious tunnel with the hope it can bring back the person he misses most.

I was hooked on the premise right away. This volume sets up the dynamics well. The artwork is great. It portrays Kaoru’s haunting memories so well.

An interesting story centering grief, guilt, past trauma, and trying to make things right. A nice blend of being haunted by the past while trying to figure out the present.

Will definitely be reading the second volume and looking out for the film.
