A fun story about sharing a good read and the power of books.
While at the library, Sunny and Aarush reach for the same book, both declaring they need it. Each tries to persuade the other to check out something else. As they share why the book is so important to them, they see what they both needed all along.
Told entirely through dialogue, this is a fun read aloud. I love that each finds different meaning in the same book. They both like it for different reasons and gravitate toward different parts, but they both love how the characters become friends at the end.
Wonderful artwork. It was fun to see all the different happenings in the background and to spot some familiar book covers.
A sweet book that showcases some of the difficulties children face in life and the ways a good book and a good friend can help.
