A nice book about being homesick and a reminder that home is where your friends and family are.
I have not seen the show and have only read one other Vampirina book, but I could follow the story easily. In this one, Vee wants it to snow so that she will feel more at home and be able to do the things she liked doing in Transylvania. When it doesn’t snow, she takes matters into her own hands.
There were a few minor details that confused me such as why Vee has a legit spellbook in the first place (a. she’s a vampire? b. she’s a child?), why all of the parents are referred to by their first names, and why there was a snowy tree behind the fence if it only snowed in Vee’s yard.
Still a nice, entertaining book with a good message about being homesick.
