I will start this review off by saying that I have a love/hate relationship with Chelsea Handler. I agree with her on many things and think she can be hilarious, but I also don’t like mean or offensive humor, which is kind of her thing. For the most part, this was a very humorous book. If you are a fan of Handler, you will probably like this book. If you don’t like Handler, you probably won’t like this book. It’s pretty simple. Really there were only two parts that I really didn’t like: the rape jokes/comments and the entire chapter recounting Kimmy’s visit.
Handler is pretty well-known for her “love” of little people, so I wasn’t surprised by anything she said, but to me the jokes were still derogatory and harmful. A quick and funny book. It was a good buy considering it was a dollar at Goodwill.
