A beautiful, powerful, inspiring, empowering story of courage, strength, love, tradition, and making change. I’m disappointed such a book had to be written and how events have transpired to inspire it, but it’s a wonderful step to help guide the world toward a better path.
Goade’s artwork is phenomenal. Each page tells its own story. The detail and imagery is breathtaking on its own and come together in a way that perfectly rounds out the lyrical story.
In times of so much destruction and misunderstanding, of greed and selfishness, it’s nice to have such reminders of beauty in the world, packed with strength and a powerful message to call upon the next generation and those already here.
This book is not just a hopeful message, but a call to action to move toward change. It recognizes the hardships of such a fight, of small defeats, but also of the power of people and communities coming together to change the world.
At the end, readers are encouraged to take the Earth Steward and Water Protector Pledge to help make the world better and serve as a protector. This is more than a pretty book. It is a phenomenal work of art that is as inspiring as it is beautiful.
